Description

Our home is fantastic for families, chock full of kids toys, books, videos etc. Located in the heart of Government Camp, in the snow zone of Mount Hood, this is a wonderful base camp for mountain fun. Year-round swimming pool, 2 hot tubs, sauna---all included with your stay and just steps from our front door!

Winter is legendary of course, with up to 800 inches of snow, but Summer is amazing too, with warm days spent hiking, kayaking, or just skipping rocks on a peaceful lake. Enjoy each season on the mountain, with our comfortable home as your basecamp.

Stayed here as a staging spot for a Mt. Hood climb, so didn't get a lot of time to hang out... but it was a really comfortable, well-appointed place. The important stuff - good beds, well-stocked kitchen, comfy place to hang out in the living room - all met the mark. And a really good value. I'd go here anytime I wanted to be near the action on Hood, year-round.

It is always a treat to stay at this Collins Lake home. It offers comfort and coziness for staying in...and lots of things to do nearby, out. Plus, you don't spend half a day getting there from Portland. It's sweet!

Wonderful place for families with fun things for kids indoors and outdoors. Toys, books, movies, sleds are all available at the house, so packing is minimal. Quick trip to the slopes and walking distance from great coffee, shopping and pubs. Will definitely come back every year!
