Our cozy cabin is nestled in among the trees on a large wooded parcel a few blocks from Lake Tahoe in the quaint little community of Tahoma. It is child-friendly, pet-friendly and smoke-free. Whether you are coming for a ski trip in winter, a summer holiday in the mountains and at the beach, or a weekend get-away in the spring or fall, you will be comfortable in the relaxed and cozy atmosphere of our cabin with its touch of Scandinavian flavor in the decor.

Come with your friends or family to enjoy a peaceful retreat on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe.

We are located 3 miles from Homewood Mountain Resort and are within walking distance of the cross-country ski tracks at Sugar Pine Point State Park.

Our homeowners' association provides buoys for rent in the summer, a pier and a private beach that we share with two other associations.

Our cabin is one level, with decks in the front and back, as well as a covered walkway to the side entrance for easy winter access.
Our driveway is kept free of snow in the winter. There is parking for three vehicles.

The living room has a wood-burning stove. Enjoy our collection of videos and DVDs. Bring your laptop and get connected with our WiFi.

We installed all new kitchen appliances a few seasons ago. You will find a variety of small appliances: waffle iron, juicer, popcorn popper, crock pot, salad spinner, bottle opener, electric frying pan (for pancakes at the breakfast table), hand and standing electric mixers. There are plenty of big pots and pans, salad bowls and casserole dishes if you are cooking for a gang.

The front bedroom has a queen bed and a crib, the middle bedroom has a double bed, and the master bedroom has a queen bed and a set of bunks suitable for youth. The futon in the living room folds down to a double bed.

Extra blankets and linens are stored in the bedrooms. The game cabinet is in the master bedroom. One bedroom has a bookcase with novels and books about Tahoe: trees, birds, flowers, trails, local history. Writing paper is in the desk. There is a box of toys for a toddler in the front bedroom. There is also a booster seat, a baby backpack, high chair, and several other chairs for the under-5 crowd.

Rates vary by season:
Summer rates apply 6/15-9/14.
Winter rates apply 12/15-4/14.
Spring/fall rate apply the rest of the year.

Summer: $165/night and $1,000/week,
– Holiday: $195/night and $1,200/week,

Winter: $195/night and $1,200/week,
– Holiday: $235/night and $1,500/week,

Spring/Fall: $135/night and $800/week,
– Holiday: $150/night and $900/week.
